| A creative spirit, Sheri has always loved the arts. She began dancing at the age of eight and had several poems published in the Michigan Chronicle. She began her journey of dance at a local dance school in Detroit and eventually moved to Toni’s School of Dance under the guidance of Toni Lewis and Michael Hicks. She danced throughout high school but decided to pursue a degree in Interior Design instead of dance. She began to focus on writing, community service and ministry. She was chosen to take on leadership positions within the church, but because of the beliefs of her church dancing was never fully embraced. Currently, she worships at Liberty City Church of Christ and because God knows the heart He didn’t allow that to deter her for long. He opened the door for her to minister at a UAW Conference and from that several opportunities were presented. She is now working on her discipline and technique and is grateful to Him to be able to dance with others that are passionate. Sheri has appeared in two local films and has performed in several productions including Go Tell It On the Mountain, Lord I’m Coming Home and Satan Loose My Child in which she played three different characters. She has ministered in dance since 2006 for the UAW and various others in and out of Michigan. Her desire has increased and God has called her to be faithful by placing her with the anointed Spirit of the Moment Dance Company. |
