Sondra grew up in Detroit and attended Northern High School where
she studied dance under the late Jacqueline Hillsman, Director of
the Experimental Dance Movement, from September 1975 to June 1979.
She also studied dance under Phyllis Stowe-Jackson, Director of Unique
Dance Theatre from January 1976 to June 1983. Sondra went on to attend
Michigan State University. Unfortunately, she had to leave school
to help the family at home because her mother was hospitalized. Through
it all, she never gave up on dancing. She began to teach dance classes
around the Detroit Metropolitan area. Her talents reached beyond dance
with singing and acting as part of her resume. During her high school
years she traveled with a project called “Attitude Awareness”,
it was an acting project Directed by Ron Milner. Sondra has performed
in many plays such as “Purlie”, ”Aida”, “Perilous
Times”, and “Jesus Christ Superstar”, just to name
a few. Sondra has always had the desire to perform since the age of
10. She has recently vowed the rest of her life to performing for
God. She feels that since her talents are a gift from God, God is
where she wants to return those gifts. Give God the glory!
